Art exhibition Opening: “Mit den Augen der Anderen”

We are proud to announce the participation of the artist Miss YounHee Yang in the fine art exhibition “Mit den Augen der Anderen”, organized by ‘Art and Prison e.V.’. The exhibition opening will be this Friday, February 26 2010 at the gallery space of ‘Art and Prison e.V., Invalidenstrasse 2, 10115 Berlin – Mitte. The exhibition will be opened until March 17. 2010.

Miss YounHee Yang’s is one of the prize winning works of this exhibition and will be exhibited in “Mit den Augen der Anderen”.Miss Yang demonstrates through her participation in this project her social engagement and support for socially weak people in society. She supports the social message of this exhibition and honors the work of ‘Art and Prison e.V.’. The exhibition “Mit den Augen der Anderen” is an art event to support socially weak groups in society, especially prisoners, in many countries of this world. YounHee Yang is a passionate artist, who is exploring Humanity itself from the beginnings of her work. Her artistic work includes besides painting also installation, sculpture and video-art. In her new art projects, Miss Yang speaks for the socially weak marginal groups of our societies and points out preconceptions and nuisances in a playful manner. The artist herself: "Every one of us CAN make a difference!”
Through her participation in this exhibition “Mit den Augen der Anderen”, the artist is calling everyone to support the group of people on the margin of our society.
YounHee Yang, born 1977 in Seoul, Republic of Korea received her art instruction at the Dan-Kook University (Seoul) and Parsons School of Design (New York) and finished with the Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2005. In 2005 she relocated to Germany and currently lives and works in Berlin as a freelance artist. She exhibited her artwork in numerous countries.
